Quarterly Journal
Mississippi Pharmacist, MPhA's quarterly journal carries articles concerning results of pharmacy research, pharmacy issues, trends, pharmacy and the law, pharmacy school news, and association events, along with editorial matter from the president and executive director. Position openings are provided as a membership service.
Public Affairs
MPhA participates in National Pharmacy Week by having the governor proclaim National Pharmacy Week in Mississippi.The association provides public service announcements, posters, and newspaper articles to member pharmacists. MPhA participates in National Poison Prevention Week each March. Again the association provides public service materials to member pharmacists.
Student Affairs
MPhA
encourages pharmacy students to participate in the association. Students
can serve on committees, attend continuing education programs, submit
articles for publication, and use the library for research.
Each year MPhA members sponsor 20 students to attend our annual convention,
which is held in Destin, Florida. Also, MPhA offers opportunities for P3 or
P4 pharmacy student summer internship employment. Mississippi
Pharmacy Foundation offers student loans to P5 and P6 students.Call the MPhA
