Benefits
MPhA is an association for pharmacists from every
practice setting, with both national and local members, and built upon the belief “we are stronger together.” MPhA’s Membership Committee seeks out all pharmacists in and connected to the state of Mississippi. MPhA has a well-known, respected, and unrelenting presence at the Division of Medicaid, the Board of Pharmacy, and the State Legislature.
MPhA works every day to protect, preserve, and promote the future of pharmacy.
The four pillars of MPhA membership are its legislative advocacy, continuing education classes, networking opportunities, and partnerships.
Legislative Advocacy MPhA is the voice for pharmacy in the federal government and United States Congress as well as the Mississippi executive office and Legislature. We have a Government Affairs committee, which introduces legislation in support of pharmacy and testifies against legislation in opposition of pharmacy. As a member your interests are well represented in all aspects of government.
Continuing education is offered through many opportunities such as the annual convention, pharmaceutical care certificate programs, Mid-Winter meetings, Last Chance seminars, CE at Sea cruises, district meetings, and journal continuing education articles.
Networking At our annual convention and various meetings, seminars and events throughout the year, pharmacists can socialize, meet new friends, receive continuing education, and recognize outstanding practitioners in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Networking and socialization between fellow pharmacists is a strong aspect of our organization.
Partnerships MPhA has a comprehensive membership package, which includes discounts on many personal and professional items such as professional liability and other insurance available to members and student-members. Click here to learn more about what MPhA can offer you!
