Government Affairs Chair
Anna Warren Rhett, PharmD, received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Science from the University of Mississippi in 2018 and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Mississippi in 2021. While in pharmacy school, Anna served as Co-Chair for the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy Student Advocacy Committee, a student-led organization that focuses on pharmacy advocacy. Currently, Anna is a PGY1 Community Resident at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. Through residency, Anna spends time at various practice sites, including Walgreens, HealthPlus Pharmacy and Wellness, Vigilant Diabetes Care, and University of Mississippi Family Medicine. Anna is an active member of Mississippi Pharmacists Association and Mississippi Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. Her professional interests are ambulatory care, community pharmacy, academia, and pharmacy advocacy. While originally from Mount Olive, Mississippi, Anna currently resides in Jackson, Mississippi, with her husband, Johnson Rhett. In her free time, she enjoys running, listening to podcasts, and staying involved with her church, First Presbyterian Church of Jackson.
This committee serves to keep an eye on legislation as it moves through our government. We may work with legislators to initiate important legislation, mobilize our membership to speak to their representatives about important legislation, or serve as a source of information to educate officials on the impact that legislation could have on our profession.
