ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS
FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS
ON THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Mississippi Pharmacists Association is soliciting nominations
through Monday, March 31, 2025, for the following openings on the
Executive Committee. Nominations may be emailed to
info@mspharm.org or phoned at (601) 981-0416.
ALL CANDIDATES MUST SUBMIT A BRIEF BIOLOGICAL
SKETCH WHICH WILL BE INCLUDED ON THE BALLOT.
MPhA’s Executive Committee is comprised of seven pharmacists who are responsible for setting the vision and direction of the Association
for the Executive Director to implement. A leadership position in MPhA will allow you to shape the role of pharmacy in Mississippi and
contribute to the planning process in moving MPhA and the profession forward.
The following positions on the Executive Committee are open to any active member of MPhA.
Any active MPhA member may nominate themself or any other MPhA active member.
All MPhA active members can cast an electronic ballot for their candidate of choice,
and the winners will be announced at the 2025 154th Annual Convention.
TREASURER
The Treasurer shall be an active member in good standing of the ASSOCIATION, reside within 60 miles of the ASSOCIATION office,
and shall be elected by the membership of the ASSOCIATION to serve as Treasurer for a term of two (2) years.
The Treasurer shall oversee and be responsible for all funds and securities of the ASSOCIATION
and, in general, perform all duties incident to the office of Treasurer
and such other duties as from time to time may be assigned to him or her by the President or Executive Committee.
He or she may sign, with the Executive Director on any other proper officer of the
ASSOCIATION authorized by the Executive Committee, any deeds, mortgages, bonds, contracts, or other instruments which the
Executive Committee has authorized to be executed, except in cases where signing and execution thereof shall be expressly delegated by
the Executive Committee, by these Bylaws, or by statute to some other officer or agent of the ASSOCIATION.
The Treasurer shall be a voting member of the Executive Committee.
AT-LARGE MEMBER
(We will be filling 2 At-Large Member positions)
The At-Large member shall serve a term of two years.
After a term of two years, the At-Large member shall be elected for the position
of Vice-President by the Membership.
The At-Large member elected to Vice-President shall serve in a succession of offices for the
subsequent four years.
The At-Large member elected as Vice-President shall serve as:
(a) Vice President for a term of one year following his term of one year as an At-Large member.
(b) President-Elect for one year following his term as Vice President.
(c) President for one year following his term as President-Elect.
(d) Past President for a term of one year following his term of one year as President.
